The Vibrating Rod Detector is composed of a stainless steel Rod that emits continuous vibrations. When the material comes in contact with the blade, these vibrations are reduced or even stopped, which triggers a contact.

The vibrating blade has a bi-conical profile to avoid material retention when mounted horizontally, thus avoiding false detections.
