Free lime analyser KLC3


Key information required in the cement manufacturing process to guarantee the end product quality without excessive burning

Principle :

  • Custom designed automatic sampling & transport systems
  • Clinker grinding
  • Sample & glycol precise weighing
  • Mixing & heating of the solution
  • The following chemical reaction occurs between the free lime in clinker and the ethylene glycol: CaO + (CH20H)2 -> H20 + (CH20)2²- + Ca2+
  • Conductivity of the solution is measured
  • Output information transmitted to the kiln management unit
  • Waste ejection

Option : Independent inductive toroidale probe

This patented option allows, in view of a total quality control, the confirmation of the free lime measurement obtained by the analyzer’s conductivity probe by an independent inductive toroidale probe implemented at the level of waste ejection.

This solution of redundant analysis allows the detection of the following failures:

  • Problem during the mixing of clinker & glycol
  • Problem of temperature regulation or measurement
  • Conductivity probe damaged, not properly adjusted or disconnected
  • Drift of the conductivity card
